How this calculator works

The schedule is the delivery date plus a repeating refresh interval. Each refresh step is a re-cut, a water change and a re-dose of flower food, matching the published care guidance; a daily water-level check runs across the whole window.

Every figure is calculated in your browser from the values you enter, so nothing is sent anywhere and you can adjust the inputs freely to match your own quote.

Frequently asked questions

How often should I change the water and re-cut the stems?

Every couple of days is the usual rhythm, and sooner if the water turns cloudy. The schedule defaults to a two-day refresh; change the interval to match how the flowers are behaving.

Why re-cut the stems at all?

Cutting opens a fresh pathway for water to move up the stem. A cut that has been sitting in water for a couple of days has started to seal and to harbour bacteria at the cut surface.

Do I need to re-dose the flower food each time?

Yes. Flower food is dosed to the volume of water, so if you replace the water you should replace the food. Use the flower food calculator to work out the packet count for your vase.

What should I check every day?

The water level. Stems that are no longer submerged have lost their supply, so top the vase up between full refreshes. Keep the vase out of direct sun and away from ripening fruit.

Does this tell me how long the flowers will last?

No, and no honest tool can. Vase life is a range that depends on the variety, how the flowers were handled before delivery, and the conditions in your home. The schedule is a routine that gives them the best chance.
